Club 44 Foundation, Inc has been created to carry on the legacy of Jamie  Mertens. Many people knew him as, “Mert”. He will forever live in our hearts and will always be remembered for his larger than life personality.  Jamie would always go out of his way to take the time to ask you, “How’s it going?” and make you feel like the center of that moment. 

 

Many of us will remember his bear hugs and incredible heart of gold he had for everyone. It has been evident from all the outpouring of prayers, love and support that Jamie has touched so many lives and created so many life-long friendships.

 

This foundation’s purpose is to keep Jamie’s love for life alive in all of us – forever! 

Club 44 Foundation, Inc is working on a memorial at Mount Calvary
Athletic Club. The memorial will help grow the athletic club as well as keep Jamie’s love for baseball alive.

The first level of Club 44 will be a concession stand.  The upper level pavilion will provide a viewing area with pub tables and seating.

This is the first of many acts of charity and kindness this foundation will be pursuing. Stacey Mertens, Jamie’s wife and their sons Logan and Kaine, will be managing the foundation.
